Ahoy! The handle is Pirate Spice, otherwise known as Sean C. Riley. I am an artist, a dreamer, and most importantly, a father. My daughter is the world to me, and I learn as much from her as she does from me.
I have a fairly extensive background in role-playing games. I was a game master from the very first tabletop RPG I played back in 1989, and while I enjoy sitting in the player's seat, my greatest enjoyment comes from being the visionary behind the GM screen. I've played a wide variety of games, and tried out numerous systems (even designing a few of my own). From there, I branched out into live-action RPGs, including a few stints as part of the administration for a LARP convention (for which I was instrumental in designing a new game system). I participated in various chat-based online role-playing games, and eventually moved on to Neverwinter Nights.
In time, friends coerced me to play World of Warcraft. It was an amusing distraction at first, but I nearly gave up for lack of finding decent role-play, until I found Dramatis Personae. I haven't looked back since. Presently, I am the pacer leader for Anduin's Irregulars, a pacer group on Argent Dawn.
My heroes in myth and fiction are those people that support, guide, nurture, and protect the protagonists. I relate most to characters like Merlin, Spock, Samwise Gamgee, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Alfred Pennyworth, and Pallas Athena. I strive to be as patient, supportive, compassionate and wise as these figures. I don't always tell people what they want to hear, but it is my intention to tell them what they need to hear.
