Hello. I'm Jane Doe. Back in the depths of time there was an EverQuest (EQ) role-playing (RP) guild called "Norrathian Dramatis Personae (NDP)," from which "Dramatis Personae (DP)" has evolved. Among many amazing and positive attributes for a group of people trying to put the RP back into MMORPG, they were absolute zealots about anonymity. Hence the screen name, can't get anymore anonymous than that, can you? This is, after all, the internet. Keeping your real life un-discoverable from your on-line self definitely has its place. Even so, I have found the people on these boards usually ones I'd like to know in RL as well.

I hail from the DC Metropolitan region; I was even born inside the Beltway. As an Art School Punk from the 'Burbs, I've had a rainbow of hair, lived in B-More to go to the Institute and drunk more than my share in the clubs and at parties. While I have mellowed a bit in the past few years (engaged, Yeah!), if I haven’t done something, it's only 'cause I didn't want too.

I'm a woman in her late thirties and have been role-playing since about 1982, after catching "Monster & Mazes" with my best friend and deciding, "Wow, that looks cool. We should get that D&D game. In the mean time, whereÕs some paper? IÕll draw up a map." I have created a series of RP paper games with this same friend, played D&D, GURPs, Feng Shui, Vampire the Masquerade (table top and LARP) and independent LARPs and character dinners. A Russian accent developed for a displaced aristocrat turned Tremere fleeing the Bolshevik revolution even landed me a spot doing voice-overs for the Discovery Channel. About the only video game I played with any regularity prior to the release of EQ was Tomb Raider.

I've been a member of the DP crew since it was a mix of NDP and Strictly in Character. When EQ was our main game, I was the mayor of Kaladim and wrote the content for our page on that fondly remembered dwarven city. Now that we have ventured forth into World of Warcraft, I monitor the "Pacer Madness! And Other Fanciful RP Events..." forum and as well as ride herd on our event Choreographers. I also try to be the voice of reason. That doesn't always work as well as I would like, but I do try.

Send a PM to Jane Doe!
