My name is Todd. I'm 33 years old, married for more than 10 years, and am the father of two (one deceased son, and one energetic 3-year-old daughter). I work at the local newspaper, writing obituaries, news briefs, calendars of events, and proofreading pages. But since that isn't paying the bills (children are expensive!) I'm also back in school after being out of academia for 7 or 8 years, finishing a degree in English.

OK, enough of the dull stuff.

I've always been interested in role-playing games, from my first encounter with D&D in elementary school, to my first experience with computer RPGs in the form of the Ultima series (my first one was Ultima II). I've even designed a couple tabletop RPGs, but they never left the playtest stages. I have published an article or two in magazines devoted to tabletop games, most recently ÒKnights of the Dinner Table,Ó and my artwork has appeared in a very small-run game called "Crossroads."

Tabletop roleplaying games I have played include Dungeons and Dragons, Advanced Dungeons and Dragons editions 1, 2 (ran two campaigns under these rules), and 3 (in nearly every game world they introduced, including Ravenloft and Dark Sun), Shadowrun, Crossroads, and Marvel Super Heroes. My on-line gaming experience has been limited to Everquest and Worlds of Warcraft, although I have played quite a few computer and Super Nintendo games as well (another of my favorites is "The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind"). I consider myself to be a diehard gamer – there aren't that many games out there that I at least haven't heard about, and I try to learn as many new ones as I can. I also have a keen interest in the ways games function – not just what the rules are, but how the rules work to achieve a game balance while providing entertainment.

And, of course, I tend to be fanatically devoted to role-playing in a role-playing game. Funny, huh?

The list of my characters can be found here. I also tend to run the "Vengeance, Ltd." storyline, which occurs on the Horde side of the Shadow Council server. These events run sporadically, but I always post the announcement of a new one here, so keep watching!

Those of you who may have questions about anything, feel free to send me a PM or e-mail. I’ll try to answer, the best I can, in a timely fashion. I'm here to help!
