So how does a stranger join our troupe? Like all theater organizations, you need to audition first. Register a player name with us by starting an account on these forums. While this does not need to be your real name we do insist you use something other than a character name. It can get confusing if one person is talking about a character’s actions and the other person thinks they are talking about the player, not having met the character IG yet. Just trust us on this one.

Then join us on the boards. We strongly urge new participants on these boards to introduce themselves in our introduction thread. This way we know you’re not a bot trolling for our credit card information and you get a chance to start the ball rolling on the “getting to know you” process. As that process continues, the other titles will come. Mostly, come hang out with us, participate as much or as little as you like or can afford. Just check in once and a while, throw an opinion our way (it really doesn’t have to agree with ours, just say anything and everything politely.)

If you will be playing WoW with us, type /join Dramatis and /join Personae when you log onto any RP server. While we are very heavy on the the Earthen Ring and Argent Dawn servers, we officially have no official server. Some of us hop around regularly and most are willing to meet up for an interesting bit of RP anywhere, schedule permitting.

Please keep in mind, however, that not all player types or character types will necessarily mesh well together. We do not and will not require our members to shoehorn their character concepts to fit or get along with everyone else. If you are having trouble finding satisfying RP experiences with us, feel free to ask what is going on. It may be as simple as "my priest will never get beyond the demon thing with warlock characters like yours, but I have a dwarf who would love to meet IC. Let me finish up what I'm doing and I can log him on in about an hour" or more complex as "I thought you were rude in the channel/I'm too uncomfortable with new people, just give me time." The point is, communication around here is prized and many issues can be resolved with just a little OOC conversation. Who knows, the people who may rub you wrong at first may come to be you best RP partners. You'll never know though, with out checking in from time to time.

Also for WoW players, add your Role-play characters to our Call Sheet. This will also add your characters to the Official DP WoW Character Roster. This list can help locate DP members your level on any server as well as act as a quick reference on who is who. Many of us have multiple characters so it can get a bit confusing.
